BudgetMeThis is a budgeting and financial planning website. We use personal and financial information to
operate the service, protect user accounts, provide budgeting features, support user-requested financial
connections, and comply with applicable legal, security, and platform requirements.
We do not sell user personal information or financial data. We do not ask users to provide online banking
usernames or passwords directly to BudgetMeThis.

- Budget and transaction information entered by the user, including descriptions, categories, dates, income, expenses, goals, and saved plans.

- Financial account information retrieved through Plaid or another secure provider only when the user chooses to connect an account.

How we protect data
- The website is served over HTTPS to protect data in transit.
- Verified user sessions require phishing-resistant passkey MFA before private budget data is available.
- Consumer financial data retrieved from Plaid is treated as sensitive data and protected at rest.
- Administrative access is limited to authorized personnel with a business need.
Sharing
When data is shared
- We may use service providers that help operate hosting, email, security, database, and connected account features.
- Financial connections are handled through secure provider flows such as Plaid Link when those features are enabled.
- We may disclose information when required by law, legal process, security needs, or platform obligations.
- We do not sell user financial data.
Retention
Deletion and retention
- We keep account, budget, transaction, and connected account data only as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and support backups.
- Users may request deletion of their account or personal data by contacting BudgetMeThis support.
- Deletion requests are reviewed and completed unless retention is required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, backup, or operational reasons.
- Temporary migration, diagnostic, and support files are removed when they are no longer needed.
User rights
Access, correction, and deletion requests
Users may contact BudgetMeThis to request access to personal information associated with their account, ask
for inaccurate information to be corrected, request deletion, or ask questions about how their information is
handled. Requests are verified before account data is disclosed or changed.
